Social working: after Facebook comes Workbook

WorkBook will allow colleagues to use the site to communicate securely and collaborate on projects

It was only a matter of time before corporates cottoned on to the fact that instead of stamping down on popular social networking sites such as Facebook, they could be used to fulfil a need.

A product has arrived called WorkBook, a Facebook application that allows colleagues to use the site and communicate securely.

The designers reckon this could be used to collaborate on projects and find out what colleagues are up to. It may even catch on.
