Hybrid reseller-distributor Jem Telecom claims to have launched the UK’s first bundled suite of applications for BlackBerry smartphone users.
The firm will push its Navigation Solution Bundle, which includes software from ISVs TeleNav and PlanaJourney, both direct to end-users and through its channel of 25 resellers and systems integrators.
Jason Theakston, chief executive of Jem, said: “We’re putting together seven key vertical bundles, including legal and finance, and construction and engineering.”
Theakston added that Jem had recently formed a strategic alliance with its hosted platform provider IT Energy, boosting its technical support capabilities and increasing its headcount from 15 to 25. The package is compatible with the BlackBerry Pearl, 8800 and Curve smartphones.
