Under the exclusive partnership, Gem will stock a range of Nyko’s latest gaming accessories, including the intercooler for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and the Wireless Sensor Bar and Charge Station for Wii.
Jonathon Harker, marketing co-ordinator at Gem, said: “Nyko has been really successful in North America and has been crowned the third biggest peripheral manufacturer in the territory. The peripheral channel is a crucial market for the gaming industry and our plan is to have Nyko established in the UK through retailers in time for the lucrative Christmas market.”
Scott Berlin, vice president of international sales at Nyko, said in a statement: “We have always been committed to providing gamers not only in the US, but also the world with access to innovative peripherals for video gaming and digital lifestyles. Our agreement with Gem demonstrates this vision and we look forward to forging ahead and establishing the Nyko brand in new territories.”
