Steljes has announced that its sales director, Mark Bird, is leaving the audiovisual (AV) distributor at the end of July to take a post at a ‘soon-to-be-announced’ start-up.
As a result, Steljes’ chief operations officer, Ian Goodhind, will see his role expand to include leadership of sales and business development. Goodhind has been at interactive technologies specialist Steljes for over ten years.
Steljes chief executive Martin Large said Bird had done an excellent job “during a period of considerable change” for the company and the wider market.

“I hope that the AV community will join me in wishing Mark every success in his new venture,” he said.
Bird told CRN he leaves Steljes on good terms and revealed he would begin work with an AV start-up targeting the corporate sector in the Autumn.
“This recognises my strengths, which is breaking new products into new markets. This is something that I am passionate about, particularly outside the education market,” Bird said.
