Dell has claimed a big scalp in its UK channel assault, unveiling giant reseller Equanet as its newest Certified Partner in its PartnerDirect programme.
Equanet will now have access to the products, training and best practices of all Dell Enterprise areas.
Dell recently revealed that about 15,000 EMEA resellers had registered to PartnerDirect since its launch in January 2008 but that just 100 had made the step up to certified status. The vendor has also struggled to gain traction with the some of the region's larger corporate resellers.

Growing the number of resellers in the top tier would be a priority for 2009, it stressed.
