Buying group Synaxon has launched a loyalty rebate programme to drive up the use of its EGIS e-procurement platform.
Starting in 2010, resellers will earn quarterly rebates of between 0.25 and 0.5 per cent on any stock bought from four of Synaxon’s key distribution partners using EGIS. These are Ingram Micro, Enta Technologies, Midwich and Beta Distribution.
Synaxon has recruited 560 resellers since its UK entrance 14 months ago, but UK managing director Derek Jones admitted many only use EGIS to look up products and compare prices.

“Now they have an incentive to place orders,” he said.
Jones said the scheme could be extended to some of Synaxon’s 19 other distributors. “These four are the ones we have full integration with,” he explained.
