SCC bags Keoghs support contract

Integrator selected to manage legal firm's IT infrastructure as it gears up for expansion

SCC has won a three-year deal to supply IT infrastructure and systems support services to legal firm Keoghs.

The deal will help the firm, which specialises in supplying legal services to the UK general insurance industry, underpin planned business expansion and offer an improved quality of service to its staff.

Keoghs enlisted the help of legal IT advisory firm Neil Cameron Consulting Group (NCCG) to advise on outsourcing its IT support.

Under the terms of the deal, which is for an undisclosed sum, SCC will deliver end-to-end support for 650 users across three sites, encompassing a fully outsourced and remote service desk, end user computing support and management of the server network.

Steve Rafferty, regional sales director of SCC, said: “This new contract with Keoghs underlines the value of working with a single outsourcing partner committed to optimising services around the IT infrastructure for business gain.

“We will provide a completely flexible support model to both accommodate ongoing transformation, adding real value at every level of engagement.”

John Smith, chief information officer at Keoghs, said: "The decision to outsource this work was taken after a thorough evaluation of the options available to us and how these related to our business and IT strategies. NCCG helped us to develop the criteria necessary to make an objective, impartial decision, while also bringing to the table a strong knowledge of the capabilities of the various potential IT outsourcing suppliers.
