Bell Micro has added unified bandwidth management (UBM) vendor Xrio to its networking stable and claims resellers can rake in 30 per cent margin from its technology.

Xrio’s hardware and software UBM solutions integrate the functions of outbound and inbound load balancing, bonded internet and VPN and bandwidth management in a single appliance.

Bell claimed Xrio would be a sound option for internet, VPN, software-as-a-service and cloud computing resellers and could yield them up to 30 per cent margins.

Ed Callacher, networking divisional manager at Bell Micro, added that Xrio would open doors for partners to revisit existing customers.

“Any company that requires improved performance for applications dependent on bandwidth via the internet is a potential customer. So for traditional VARs, service providers or integrators, there are tremendous opportunities for increased margin and additional sales,” he said.

Xrio stressed that its product does not require the replacement of firewalls or routers and can be set up with no interruption to existing connectivity and infrastructure.

Shelley Garbutt-Wilson, director of sales at Xrio, said: “To have access to an established sales channel through a reputable and successful organisation like Bell Micro is the perfect way to take our products to market, and our company to the next level.”
