Online VAR WStore is expanding its SME sales team, following a 10 per cent growth in SME business in 2006.
During the next quarter, WStore will recruit at least 10 additional SME sales people, growing the two-year-old team to a total of 28.
Stewart Hayward, commercial director at WStore, told CRN that it had also experienced a 10 per cent increase in the rate of repeat purchase customers this year.
“This will take the team to the next level,” he said. “These will be named account managers that SME customers can contact directly.”
After a four-week training and induction programme, all employees will be required to complete an exam to assess their SME knowledge.
Hayward added that WStore may also look to develop a similar form of training and testing for SME services sales in the coming months.
