Geoff Slaughter has resurfaced as head of print at Samsung following his resignation from head of channel at Canon just before Christmas.
Slaughter told CRN that he would remain in the channel, but could not reveal where at the time (CRN Online, 19 December).
However, CRN has learned that Samsung poached Slaughter to head up
its print division.
Samsung aims to become the number-one printer vendor by 2010, which attracted
Slaughter to the role.

“It was too good an opportunity to turn down,” he said.
Slaughter’s remit involves developing channel relationships and growing the
print business by 37 per cent this year.
