Westcon Group has become the latest channel player to rejig its senior management line-up after appointing Dean Douglas as chief operating officer.
Douglas joins from wireless engineering professional services company LLC International, where he was chief executive, and takes on a position that has been unfilled at Westcon for several years. He has previously held senior positions at Motorola and IBM and will now be responsible for Westcon's worldwide operational activities, reporting to president Tom Dolan.
Douglas said: "Westcon enjoys a great reputation and occupies an extraordinary position in IT distribution. The company is respected as a global player and delivers products and solutions that are valued by its customers; I would like to build on this success and extend its reach even further into the market.”
