Marathon Technologies, vendor of high-availability (HA) software for physical and virtual servers, is aggressively expanding its UK channel presence with an assortment of new reseller signings.
In December, Marathon signed 14 UK resellers to broaden its reach across a wider range of sectors and the vendor has since revealed plans to add more.
Nick Turnbull, vice president of international sales at Marathon, said: “Since signing with distributor Iqsys earlier this year, we have been working to recruit partners and we have a further 10 in the pipeline.

“We are still looking for another five Elite partners and about 40 Preferred
partners, so we can fully roll out the programme and engage properly with the UK
channel.”
Pitched as an alternative to VMware, Marathon’s HA solutions are designed for
businesses of all sizes.
Will Brooks, general manager of Intercept, said the reseller is seeing growing demand for the firm.
“Because of Marathon’s Citrix XenServer partnership, we have seen an increase in interest as SMEs look to the XenSever because of its price,” he said.
“Also, if an SME already has Citrix, why would it want to add a completely different vendor?
“Intercept also signed with Marathon to benefit from the experienced channel people it has to support us.”
