Hybrid distributor/reseller AT Communications (ATC) has revealed it is in talks to sell one of its three subsidiaries as it bids to slash debt levels.

The alternative investment market (AIM)-listed firm is split into three divisions: communications distributor Rocom, reseller ATC Solutions and services arm Servassure.

ATC said in a statement it had received “unsolicited potential interest” in one of those divisions but refused to say which, stressing that discussions are at a very early stage.

Alex Tupman, chief executive of ATC, said: “An approach for one of our subsidiaries is currently being considered with initial discussions underway. Shareholders will be updated on this development as soon as appropriate.”

ATC bought Rocom, which holds contracts with slew of A-brand telecoms vendors, for £17.6m in August 2006 (Channelweb, 21 August 2006).

The group also used the statement to announce a series of contract wins for ATC Solutions and Servassure. This includes a two-year network services voice contract with carpet and floor retailer Carpetright.
