Peripherals vendor Electrone Europe and point of sale (POS) specialist International POS are teaming up to launch a campaign to recruit retail-focused VARs.
Lancashire-based International POS will now offer resellers and retail firms Electrone's range of POS hardware. Electrone will return the favour by bundling POSwyse software from International POS with its own retail terminals in the US market. The two companies will be looking for resellers across Europe and also for Stateside VARs, starting their search in Florida.
Electrone Europe's chief executive Stuart Thorn said: “Resellers should be aware that the retail market is moving from old POS systems with screens and keyboards in favour of touchscreen technology and web-based CRM. This channel programme will offer partners our experience of migration from legacy equipment to new technology.
"Flexible supply chains allow us to source and manufacture bespoke peripherals for individual customers’ specialist needs. Offering these bespoke solutions will allow channel partners to significantly increase their margins."
Frank Whittle, managing director of International POS, added: “Maximising counter space is a vital consideration for retailers and Electrone has brought to market its products with a very small footprint at the point of sale. Resellers should be able to find significant markets for these competitively-priced products.”
