Barcode printer and security application vendor Zebra Technologies has added a card specialist strand to its PartnersFirst channel programme.
The launch follows Zebra’s integration of its formerly separate card printing division earlier in 2008, which includes card printing hardware, services and supplies.
Becky Brookes, channel marketing manager at Zebra Technologies, said: “Before the integration Zebra had a card printing and a specialist printing division – we wanted to give partners one face with one card specialist brand. It was time to make it apart of the channel programme.

“The card market is a growing market and we are focusing on retaining partners and growing them. We will also be looking at other partners in the programme that are interested in the card market and seeing if they can gain access to it.”
Elliot Davis, sales manager of DED Limited said: “We welcome the integration of the card printer business with the rest of Zebra's business.
“The PartnersFirst framework and the sales and marketing resources now available to Zebra's card partners are sure to help grow the business further both for us and our reseller partners.”
