Reseller Armstrong Consultants has been chosen to implement a new financial system for Surrey-based Survey and Construction Ltd.
Armstrong will deploy an Access Dimensions Lite solution at the construction firm’s Whyteleafe base with a longer term plan to implement the consultant's own web-based project management system, FocalPoint, as a second stage of the project.
Following new legislation in April 2007, companies that use subcontractors now need to provide accurate and timely information to HMRC or face a penalty. Consequently, a key requirement of Survey and Construction was to have an HMRC-approved CIS capability within their accounts software.

Vic Sawyer, chief executive of Survey and Construction Ltd, said: “Ideally we were looking for an accounting system that meets our current requirements but crucially had the capability to grow and expand with us.
“Access Dimensions Lite and the integrated project management solution, FocalPoint, offered by Armstrong Consultants provided the best fit for our organisation.”
In future phases of the implementation project, Armstrong will also consider replacing the organisation’s existing contract management software with its own FocalPoint solution.
