Westcoast has unveiled a server configuration tool designed to give HP resellers the edge over Dell by speeding up the ordering process.
The micro-site http://www.westcoastservers.co.uk/, will allow resellers to configure HP servers using their own Westcoast pricing and live stock availability. The site features a Top Value configuration tool powered by iQuote.
Alex Tatham, sales and marketing director at Westcoast, said: “The server is then built here and we can deliver it where needed. HP has so many offers and bundles on its servers that it is often hard for resellers to get their head around them all.

This tool ensures that every HP offer is bundled in and resellers get the
best deal.”
He said that Westcoast has piloted the tool within the firm before launching it
to a wider audience.
“Server enquiries are often directed to the technical department, but a lot of server orders are quite easy,” said Tatham.
“This will free up a reseller’s technical team to concentrate on the harder, more complex stuff. It will also allow HP resellers to compete better against Dell.”
