Licence compliance software vendor Business Continuity Services (BCS) has bolstered its channel with two new reseller signings and is on the lookout for more.
The firm has recently signed EasySAM and SAM Practice following an aggressive recruitment drive launched in June, which saw the vendor sign technology partnerships with LANdesk, 413 Technologies, Infraview BV and Soluza BV.
Andrew Fisher, business development manager at BCS, told CRN: “BCS was attracted to EasySAM and SAM Practice as both VARs focus on Software Asset Management (SAM) and customer service. We want to continue to understand customer and partner feedback as this is where BCS generates new ideas and solutions. This is a key area and ensures partner loyalty.
“BCS wants to continue growing in the partner community in a very sensible and methodical manner. This will enable licence management to evolve into a recognised
discipline in its own right. The evolution of vendors in the SAM arena, creating dedicated licence software solutions, will help promote SAM,” added Fisher.
Robbie Richmond, managing director of EasySAM, said: “BCS is in a strong position in the channel. The SAM market and discipline is being accepted, however, larger resellers are also offering SAM and BCS may have some competition.”
Richmond added: “Most IT managers view SAM as an inconvenience and hire a separate company to take care of its software licensing this is where EasySAM comes in, offering manual audit servers which can be added to the end users’ desktop inventory.”
In addition, BCS has unveiled its latest licence compliance software; Software Organiser 4.1, that reduces non-compliance risk by tracking company software licences.
