Probrand, the firm behind online procurement portal IT Index, has said it will double its revenue to £30m within the next 18 months.

Last week, the reseller told CRN that it is growing at a rate of 150 per cent year on year, according to Stephen Bushell, group head of new business at Probrand.

“We are scaling up the business because we are the only SME to be accredited by the government Catalyst framework [in Lot 1],” he said. “Catalyst opened up a gateway for our ITIndex platform, which takes data and aggregates it to give the public sector the cheapest prices and the availability of stock for technology.”

Probrand recently reported that turnover was up by 25 per cent year on year to £18.5m for 2006, while profit was up by 16 per cent. This is the company’s fourth consecutive year of double-digit growth.
