Pan-European distributor CDG Europe has completed its virtualisation offering after signing with US-based vendor InstallFree.
InstallFree specialises in virtualised applications, which do not require any
software to be installed on the host PC.
Yori Gabay, chief executive and co-founder of InstallFree, said: “InstallFree
received a lot of interest from the US, so it is expanding to the UK and Europe.
“CDG is our first distributor partner for this region and it has a good understanding of the space.”

Allan Tyrrell, managing director of CDG Europe, said CDG had wanted to partner with InstallFree for a while because it sits in the middle of the distributor’s portfolio.
“Application virtualisation is a new and growing market because traditionally virtualisation simply referred to VMware’s virtualised servers,” he said.
“With InstallFree’s products as part of the CDG portØfolio, resellers can offer the end user their whole PC desktop, available on any computer without installation, through the use of a USB stick.”
Oren Taylor, sales director at CDG Europe, explained that CDG has already introduced InstallFree’s products to two large UK resellers. Both of the VARs are now due to receive training around the virtualisation products.
