Storage software vendor StorMagic
has kicked of its channel partner programme targeting reseller and system
integrators that support small and medium businesses.
The vendor previously launched its UK offensive with its StorMagic SM Series, an
iSCSI-based storage area network (SAN) solution for SMEs, back in October (CRN,
4 Oct).
Mike Stolz, vice president sales and marketing at StorMagic, said: “The reseller is StorMagic’s only route to market, so it is wants to enhance this with a programme with many benefits.
“The partner will receive deal registration, joint marketing and development funds and onsite technology and sales training. StorMagic also has a qualified engineer in the UK to help with new products.”
Stolz said StorMagic is a software only vendor but its products need hardware applied to them.
“The choice of hardware is up to the partner. Some vendors send a product all in one package; however, the partner is left without the choice of its own hardware vendor, which may be better value for money for it," he explained.
Stolz added: “StorMagic also leverages its partners as they will have a remote management offer to supply to their customers.”
Stolz also told CRN that it has plans to launch an online partner portal in the first quarter, to further support its resellers.
