Julian Klein has taken over the helm at Ingram Micro UK just weeks after he parted company with audiovisual distributor Steljes Trade (CRN, 16 April).
Klein, who also worked as managing director at rival broadliner Computer 2000 until 2003, will start the position of managing director Ingram UK from 6 July and will report to Johan Vandenbussche, vice president Ingram Micro northern region.
Vandenbussche said: “We are very pleased to have secured Julian’s appointment and I would like to take this opportunity to wish him every success in this exciting new role. With his extensive channel experience, strong network in the UK technology industry and his thorough understanding of the dynamics of distribution, Julian will be a very valuable asset as we are ready to capitalise on our success in the UK market and take it to the next level.
“Julian’s mission will be to further develop the company’s market position while ensuring highest levels of customer service and support. We are confident that Julian’s leadership expertise and customer focus will help build new areas of profitable growth in the UK and across the European region.”
