Consolidation in the distribution space has continued with Nottingham-based IT hybrid distributor/reseller XMA being snapped up by Orion Media Marketing.
CRN understands that Orion, a division of Westcoast, acquired the firm for an undisclosed sum earlier this week. Details of the acquisition have not yet been released.
According to a document leaked to CRN, Cliff Irwin, managing director of Orion Media Marketing will be responsible for the combined business and Kevin Mansworth, chairman of XMA will keep his role and join the senior management team of Orion.
As this article went to press, all the management teams of both firms were 'in meetings' and unavailable for comment.
