Software vendor Formjet has opened its first offices in the Republic of Ireland to push its Panda security suite to new customers.

The firm has also signed two new distribution deals – Option Electronics and Asbis – both of which will target the retail and consumer channels.

Lyndon Chapman, chairman of Formjet, said: “This is an important development in Formjet Group’s continuing expansion of cost-effective routes to market.

“Panda is Formjet’s original subsidiary and this geographical expansion is extremely encouraging. The team at Option Electronics allows us to benefit from a tried, tested and well-connected sales force that is well respected in the local market.

“Asbis is also a key distribution outlet for us. We expect our presence in Ireland to develop even more productively in the coming months when we will be launching the ASI Ability and Edalive ranges,” he said.
