Maverick has won exclusive distribution rights for Samsung projectors, following a Midwich announcement last week that the latter would be the sole UK distributor for Samsung visualisers and plasmas (ChannelWeb, 5 August).
The agreement gives AV and business resellers access to all Samsung projectors, including entry-level LEDs and professional 4000 lumen models. VARs will also get focused sales and marketing support and supply.
According to Maverick general manager Mark Tildesley, the deal underlines its credentials as a leading specialist UK distributor of AV products. Samsung intends to increase its projector market share.

“Samsung is renowned for delivering excellent performance and value and its projector range is no different,” Tildesley said.
“This is a landmark agreement for Maverick. It underlines our pedigree as a leading specialist in the audio-visual sector and our ability to reach out to the growing number of business resellers that are now taking AV solutions.”
Dominic Webb, general manager of Samsung’s AV division said Maverick had “tremendous knowledge and expertise”.
“We are looking forward to working with them to help resellers open new opportunities,” Webb said. The vendor is planning to expand its range over the coming year and will be looking for more resellers.
