Anti-virus vendor Kaspersky Lab is updating its Green Team channel programme with a training academy and a spiff incentive scheme.
Green Team was launched in January to help build Kaspersky’s channel presence in the corporate space and the vendor claims first-quarter UK corporate sales doubled on the previous quarter.
It is now adding to the programme with the launch of the Kaspersky Lab Academy, which will be run out of the vendor’s new 30,000sq ft head office in Abbingdon.
Bill Trim, UK corporate sales director at Kaspersky, said: “In the past we have classically gone to partners’ premises or held training at the distributor’s site.”
Launching this month with about eight top resellers, the spiff programme will offer partners rewards for hitting incremental growth targets.
Stuart Clarke, divisional manager of security at Kasperksy distributor Arc Technology, said the academy would boost his resellers’ sales by ensuring they have a high level of sales and technical competency.
