Security distributor Horizon equIP Technology has expanded its relationship with Symantec to include the software vendor's entire range of security products. Previously Horizon carried only Symantec's data centre solutions.
“The appointment of Horizon equIP supports Symantec’s enterprise strategy and increases our market share by producing and offering a programme of security business lead propositions,” said Torgny Gunnarsson, regional vice president of Northern Europe for Symantec. “We expect equIP to open up new business opportunities and markets that only they could enable. This in turn will help equIP's partners deliver greater confidence to their customers.”
Laura Harman, business unit director at Horizon, described the move as "the next strategic step".
"Symantec security solutions will be of critical importance to our partner community as it will be able to work with a single source,” said Harman.
