Computacenter: We can help clients understand the impact of Oracle's integrated products

Computacenter has thrown its weight behind Oracle’s first integrated product since it acquired Sun last year.

Oracle Database Machine combines Oracle’s storage software with Sun’s hardware to provide a database storage offering that will allow end user organisations to test their workloads and demonstrate a need for migration.

Neill Burton, solutions director, datacentre at Computacenter, said: “By bringing together our software and hardware knowledge, we can help clients understand the impact of Oracle’s integrated products.

“The expected performance of this technology is outstanding and we expect it to have a significant impact on the market and provide substantial benefits to end users,” he claimed. “Through our proof-of-concept environment and product knowledge we are ideally placed to help organisations prove the case for migration by giving ‘real world metrics’ for this decision.

“We are very excited about the Oracle acquisition and the opportunities the coming together of these two great companies offers to end users. Customers should be confident that we will continue to provide value-add services in support of the new Oracle organisation as it develops its integrated product portfolio,” he said.
