Channel services firm Networks First has appointed a new managing director to drive its turnover beyond the £10m mark.
Sara Gemmell takes the reins from long-standing managing director Peter Titmus, who will spend more time exploring possible acquisitions and partnerships in his new position as executive chairman.
Gemmell joins from executive search firm Warren Partners and has also held senior roles at vendor HP and Norwegian comms giant Telenor.

“Networks First has set extremely ambitious growth objectives over the next three years and I am looking forward to working with Peter and the board in ensuring these are met,” she said.
“Key priorities will be to accelerate profitable growth in revenue through the development and expansion of our services portfolio, the acquisition of new customers and partners, as well as the introduction and management of the necessary operational processes to support these initiatives.”
The firm did not give any details of its acquisition strategy, although it does have a track record of M&A having snapped up IP telephony support specialist Access Network Services in 2007.
Titmus said: “Sara is coming onboard to drive our business forward to the next exciting stage of its development.”
