SurfControl’s
50 registered UK resellers have automatically qualified for the corresponding
tier of the latest three-tier programme and will be given six months to adjust
to the unfamiliar set-up.
Pat Dunne, senior director of UK and Ireland at
Websense,
said: “Websense was stronger on the certification side and has certain revenue
criteria. We think most resellers will be able to achieve the targets.”
Websense has also created a six-strong sales team to generate demand for its UK
Gold partners, a resource it previously only had in place for top-tier Platinum
resellers.
Steve Pearce, managing director of Websense and SurfControl distributor
DNS
Arrow, said: “We welcome this announcement because
it gives everyone involved the opportunity to take advantage of the combined
business.”
