Paul Thackeray joins storage player as EMEA chief after long and distinguished security career

Pastures new: Paul Thackeray joins Data Robotics after more than six years with Barracuda

Long-standing Barracuda Networks executive Paul Thackeray has been appointed as EMEA vice president at storage player Data Robotics.

Thackeray served the security vendor for more than six years and has racked up over two decades in the IT industry. He has also held senior positions at VAR Global Secure Systems and vendor Sonicwall.

His main focus at his new employer will be growing the vendor's SME channel strategy. He will report directly to Data Robotics chief executive Tom Buiocchi.

“Europe has become a high-growth market for us and Paul has a proven track record of recruiting distributors and resellers across the region," said Buiocchi. "He knows the SME space well and has the necessary skills to grow the business in EMEA to the next level.”
