As predicted by CRN earlier this week Bernadette Wightman has been appointed as the new head of Cisco's UK and Ireland channel.
Wightman will take over the reins from John Donovan at the end of the month, which is the start of Cisco's new fiscal year. Donovan will be heading up Cisco's UK and Ireland enterprise and mid-market business.
Wightman said: "The channel organisation, which is one of the largest within Cisco’s global business, has gone from strength to strength thanks to John Donovan and the team. I look forward to building on that success by ensuring our partners are in a strong position to take advantage of some key market transitions and the exciting growth opportunities across emerging technologies and segments."
