Datacentre vendor Voltaire has announced a formal partner programme, to cement its position in the InfiniBand high performance computing (HPC) market.
The adVantage partner programme offers two levels that Voltaire will ask its existing 35-40 global partners to join.
As a certified partner, VARs will have access to the vendor’s portfolio of server and storage interconnect solutions based on the InfiniBand interconnect technology.

The programme will offer partners sales and technical instruction.
Patrick Guay, executive vice president global sales and general manager at Voltaire, said: “We will target the resellers we already work with to encourage them to join.
“VARs that specialise in particular verticals or in high-speed datacentre fabrics will fold well into the programme.”
Julian Fielden, managing director of HPC reseller OCF, one of the first to join as a Premier partner, said: “We have worked with Voltaire for about five years, but the InfiniBand market is becoming more competitive now vendors are making their own silicon.”
Barry Evans, technical manager at OCF, said: “Having a Voltaire partner accreditation gives customers a reason to talk to us.”
