Alan Munro continues to oversee UK operations but also assumes the role of head of global accounts.

Vincent Fauquenot, vice president of transactional business for western Europe, said: "In western Europe our SME market share remains low and we have enormous growth opportunity. In the next six months we will introduce more netbooks and channel incentives to progressively make our way into the market."
Responding to recent reseller qualms about a lapse in support, Fauquenot conceded the restructure may have caused "instability" within Lenovo's UK channel team. He added: "Now we present a unified strategy to the UK channel. We will become stronger and a better value proposition for partners."
Barry Dodhia, marketing manager for reseller Hemini, said: "Lenovo had an excess of people and needed to clear out the dead wood. They are now much leaner."
