Reseller ANS Group claims it has clinched the first Unified Computing System (UCS) contract under the Buying Solutions IT Commodity framework.
The Manchester-based VAR was named as a winner in the infrastructure hardware
category of the
government
IT procurement framework in February.
The contract will see ANS deploy its converged IT
Infrastructure
3.0 architecture, which features Cisco’s UCS technology, at
Tameside
Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Lancashire.
The deployment makes Tameside the first Foundation Trust in England to make use of Cisco’s UCS technology and forms part of a wider site improvement initiative taking place at the hospital.
