Open source giant Red Hat is to hold its first EMEA partner summit in Spain this April.
The vendor claims the event, which will showcase the latest technologies, strategies, training sessions and industry insights from Red Hat execs, will be the first opportunity for its EMEA partners to meet new chief executive Jim Whitehurst.
Petra Heinrich, director of EMEA channel at Red Hat, said: “We have continued to invest heavily in our channel, which generates a significant portion of our global revenues, by strengthening Red Hat training for partners and through the addition of the new Red Hat Partner Centre.
"Since the acquisition of JBoss by Red Hat in 2006, we have built up our indirect channel structure to over 70 channel partners today. The EMEA Partner Summit provides an excellent opportunity for these partners to join together for the first time."
The Partner Summit will run from 2 to 4 April in Malaga.
