Integrator Telindus has appointed Paul Burch to the newly-created position of UK sales and marketing director.

Burch has worked in IT sales and marketing for more than 25 years and has held senior positions at companies including Getronics, Computeraid and IBM. " This is what I was really looking for. It is a challenge – something to push me, something to make me get up in the morning", said Burch.

"I wanted to join a company where I could actually make a real difference to the growth of the company. Obviously, there is a lot for me to do; understanding exactly where Telindus are and where it wants to be, finding out a lot about portfolios, customers, propositions, the way the company is set up. The major priorities are to focus on customers and how we can add value, making sure that we actually focus on what our strengths are."

Burch revealed three other sales executives had also been appointed at Telindus and they hope to increase the company's activities in the finance space. He also claimed he hoped to swell Telindus' annual UK turnover from its current figure of around £60m to £225m within five years.

He said: "We believe we can reach £225m. We are partly looking for organic growth, but meeting our growth targets purely through organic growth would be a tall order. We will also look at companies that could add value to Telindus and I see our growth coming both organically and through acquisition."

Telindus' UK managing director Mark Hutchinson said: "Paul Burch has an impressive track-record in business development and sales growth. He brings a new level of leadership to support our sales teams and drive our position as a leading ICT specialist and managed services provider, both in the UK and globally.”
