Bhavesh Patel has stepped back into the channel as group commercial director of mobile phone distributor 20:20.
Patel left Ingram Micro last month after 17 years as commercial director for the broadline distribution giant.
His new role, reporting to group chief executive Meinie Oldersma - himself a former Ingram executive - will include supporting the firm’s growth strategy and expanding strategic vendor relationships.
Oldersma said in a statement: “We are delighted to welcome Bhavesh to the group. He brings a wealth of commercial experience from the IT sector and a fantastic range of expertise gained as a senior executive with a strong reputation for consistently delivering excellent results.”
Patel added: “I’m delighted to join Meinie and the team. It is clear there is a lot of ambition and commitment here at 20:20 and this is a hugely exciting and important stage of the company’s growth and development.
“Following my time with Ingram Micro, I was looking for a new challenge in an adjacent industry and this position is a perfect complement to my previous experience and one I am delighted to accept.”
