Telecoms vendor COLT has doubled the size of its professional services team and is aiming to offer enhanced technical and sales support to its channel partners.
Dan Connolly, who has previously worked for Telstra Europe, MCI WorldCom and BT, arrives as senior manager. He is supported by an expanded technical team including Chris Brown and Kathy Pasch, who are responsible for voice, data and IP VPN solutions and Keith Horn, who looks after IP voice. COLT plan to recruit a data centre solutions technical consultant next month.
Mike Borkett is the team's bid manager and Derrick Vernal, in his role as front desk support team leader, leads a team of six administrators who will be partners' first point of contact at the vendor.

Andy Horn, head of COLT's UK SME division, said, “We now have a wealth of technical know-how available to our partners. This is part of our commitment to our partners that they can expect more with COLT. Experience has shown that involving our Professional Services team early in a customer opportunity increases win probability and customer satisfaction for both COLT and its partners.”
