"We are able to provide the necessary local support and service to public sector organisations throughout Scotland, including the Highlands and islands. Working with Canon under the new framework will bring additional prosperity to the local area," said Paterson.
Concept expects to grow as a result of the opportunity, adding staff and tendering for further Scottish public sector deals in future.
Matthew Norton, corporate and international channel director at Canon UK, said the vendor aimed to help the Scottish government save money while reducing its environmental impact.
"Canon has a proven track record in providing cost savings and environmental benefits through managed print services and print management, in the public and private sector in Scotland and the rest of the UK," Norton said.
He said the vendor’s previous experience across the UK was crucial in Canon’s securing of an approved supplier place.
The Procurement Scotland Framework was launched in June and aims to optimise tax spend as well as develop smarter and greener public services for a set price.
Canon will supply managed print services, managed print strategies and products to all public sector departments in Scotland.
