French, who set up channel consultancy firm Siceo three years ago, has held a number of high-profile roles in the industry, including EMEA president of Bell Microproducts.
Andrew Shepperd, who headed up Azlan for the past three years, told CRN his decision to leave was "amicable" and a "positive thing" for all concerned.
"I have decided to move on," he said. "I have had a very successful time there and played a part in completing the Azlan turnaround. The business is in very good shape and there is a strong team in position. I will be sad to leave the team, but the time is right to pursue other opportunities."
