Ambitious VAR European Electronique is in bullish mood after scooping three gongs at the Oxfordshire Business Awards.

The Eynsham-based public sector specialist won the main award for Business of the Year, while managing director Yolanta Gill was crowned Oxfordshire Business Entrepreneur of the year.

The reseller, which has 132 staff and turned over in excess of £35m in the year to March 2009, was also named Large Business of the Year, meaning it left with an unprecedented three awards.

Gill said the treble-scoop would pay off in the form of extra marketing opportunities.

“It is just unbelievable to be the first winner of three awards in the 15 years of the competition,” she added. “It is a credit to our staff who are hardworking and dynamic and always go that extra mile with their can-do attitude.”
