Consultancy Avisen has acquired the assets and goodwill of business intelligence (BI) and data warehouse firm Morgan Benjamin as it strives to be the top Cognos reseller in the UK.
In the deal, for an undisclosed sum, Avisen has acquired assets such as MB DASHboard and MB Context, which have been specifically designed to allow IBM Cognos BI users to take advantage of their existing technology to achieve split-second performance. These will be available immediately to Avisen’s customer base.
Marcus Hanke, chief executive of Avisen, said: “The addition of the Morgan Benjamin goodwill and assets to the Avisen business enables us to provide an added-value solution offering to our valued IBM Cognos customers.
“We are looking forward to introducing the technology to our customer base and demonstrating how we can help companies achieve an even clearer insight into business performance.”
