Responsible for a team of six engineers, Slack has worked his way up from trainee engineer, UNIX system engineer and senior engineer with OCF. He is currently responsible for customers’ post-sales installations including co-ordinating delivery of customers’ orders to OCF for pre-installation quality testing.
Julian Fielden, managing director of OCF, said: “Our deep HPC technical skills, expertise and knowledge - recognised by our customers and the wider industry – is unique, sets us apart from other non-technical high-end storage and HPC resellers and gives us an advantage in an increasingly competitive channel.
“The appointment of Barry and Russell to the board further demonstrates our commitment to supporting the increasingly technical needs of our growing base of customers.”
