Advanced Computer Software (ACS) has made a second acquisition in three months, this time snapping up ISV StaffPlan for an undisclosed amount.
StaffPlan’s software is designed especially for community care providers, delivered as a software-as-a-service model. Its customers include Blackpool Council, Derbyshire County Council and Primary Care Trusts such as Camden and Peterborough.
Earlier this month the healthcare IT services firm bought HP, Sun and IBM VAR Business Systems Group for £15.5m (Channelweb 8 May).
Vin Murria, chief executive of ACS, said: “The acquisition of StaffPlan allows us to develop further our reputation as a leading supplier of innovative software solutions to the very substantial homecare sector.
“An area where literally thousands and thousands of carers still use paper for their schedules and patient treatment management. Mark Chapman, the founder of StaffPlan brings to ACS over 20 years of valuable experience in the domiciliary and homecare sector."

Taxpayers money
Another fine example of taxes going on luxury technologies instead of frontline care staff and resources. Scandal.
