Novell’s UK channel partners are still awaiting the appointment of a UK channel manager, following Julie McKenzie’s resignation earlier this month (CRN, 4 August).
CRN has learned that Chris Papayianni, area general manager for the western region at Novell, is currently managing the role until a permanent candidate is found.
Steve Derbyshire, managing director of VAR Telamon, told CRN: “I have been told that Papayianni is going to look after the position until Novell is able to find a suitable replacement.”
Scott Fletcher, chairman of VAR Associated Network Solutions, said: “I have heard that Chris will be shadowing the role and I hope Novell gets a suitable replacement sorted soon.”
Novell was unavailable for comment as CRN went to press.
