Dimension Data (Didata) has become the third reseller to gain a Cisco Master accreditation in unified communications (UC) in the UK.
The Master represents the highest level of accreditation partners can hold in a given Cisco Advanced Technology. There are only 18 UC Masters worldwide, including Touchbase and 2e2 in the UK.
Mike Robinson, Didata’s UK’s line of business director for converged communications, said: “With a Master unified communications specialisation now in three countries - the US, India and the UK - Didata is well placed to continue growing this line of business on a global scale.”
Richard McLeod, director of unified communications for worldwide channels at Cisco, said: “To help turn the promise of unified communications into a strategic advantage, customers are demanding an enhanced set of skills and capabilities from channel partners.
“Didata’s investment in the Master unified communications specialisation ranks it among the industry’s elite.”
In related news, reseller ANS has re-iterated its ambitions to become Cisco’s first Master Security partner.
The Manchester-based VAR this week confirmed it had achieved Silver status with Cisco. “We are however setting our sights higher still, with plans already in place to gain Gold certification and Cisco’s Master Security and Voice Specialisations,” stated ANS chairman Scott Fletcher.
