Capita IT Services has bagged a £34m Buildings Schools for the Future (BSF) deal with Wolverhampton City Council.
The contract win involves the delivery of managed services to 25 secondary schools in the city over seven years. It comes just a month after Capita bought BSF specialist Ramesys for £15m.
Capita was selected as part of a consortium led by construction firm Carillion. Wolverhampton’s overall BSF programme is worth £370m, meaning Capita's cut is less than a tenth of the total.

Lee Hewett, managing director at Capita IT Services, said: “This gives us an outstanding opportunity to deliver city-wide IT transformation for the benefit of all secondary schools throughout Wolverhampton.”
Capita and Carillion already work together on BSF projects at Durham County Council and Rochdale Metropolitan Council.
Capita also recently gained several BSF partnerships through the Ramesys acquisition. This includes deals with Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, Manchester City Council and Westminster City Council.
