Storage distributor Hammer has strengthened its Fibre Channel (FC) portfolio, through its European partnership with vendor SmartOptics.

Oslo-based SmartOptics offers a selection of optical and electrical transceivers, passive optical multiplexers and CWDM/DWDM transmission equipment.

In combination with the distributor's existing QLogic switch range, resellers will be able to offer customers improved utilisation of optical links between their datacentres.
