Bullish security distributor Fresh Egg has doubled its turnover over the past 12 months and plans to do the same again next year.
The firm recently added web filtering appliance vendor Bloxx to its vendor stable.
Graham Fox, managing director of Fresh Egg, told CRN: “We have just finished our third full financial year and have doubled our turnover since last year. We are on track to do the same again next year. It is a combination of having the right products instead of commoditised products and focusing on niche solutions.”
Fox told CRN the distributor is revamping its web site, which will split its portfolio into six key areas: Unified Threat Management; mail management; advanced web filtering; endpoint security and authentication; vulnerability and asset management; and event management.
“We have also developed a partner intranet which gives resellers access to price lists, order processes and support. We are trying to keep it simple and easy for resellers,” he said.
Eamonn Doyle, managing director of Bloxx, said: “One of the attractions of Fresh Egg for us is its specialist focus and the fact that it is active in the appliance-based security market.”
Jonathan Mepstead, regional director UK and Ireland at Fortinet, added: “Fresh Egg is our longest standing UK distributor. The fact that we are experiencing growth proves we have backed the right horse.”
